Overview
About this trip
This trip covers China's two great cities: historic Beijing, home of the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, and modern Shanghai, connected by the high-speed train.
Why go
Beijing holds thousands of years of imperial history, while Shanghai shows modern China at its most dynamic, with its skyline, the Bund and traditional water towns nearby. The high-speed train between them is an experience in itself.
How the trip runs
The first part of the trip is in Beijing with the Great Wall at Mutianyu, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. You then take the high-speed train to Shanghai for the Bund, the Yu Garden and a day trip to a water town.
Good to know
Kenyan passport holders need a Chinese visa; we can help. Many Western apps do not work in China, so we advise on payment and messaging before you go.
