About this trip
A quick break on Kenya's south coast. Fly into Ukunda, settle into a boutique beachfront hotel and enjoy one of Africa's finest white-sand beaches, lined with palms and backed by a calm turquoise lagoon.
Why go
Diani is ideal when you want the beach without a long journey: it is a short flight from Nairobi. The reef keeps the water calm for swimming, and the Kisite-Mpunguti marine park nearby is one of the best places on the Kenyan coast for snorkelling and spotting dolphins.
How the trip runs
Day one is for settling in and the beach. On the second day a traditional dhow takes you to Kisite for snorkelling, followed by a seafood lunch on Wasini Island. The last morning is free before your transfer back to the airport.
Good to know
Bring reef-safe sunscreen and light clothing. Water sports and spa treatments can be added on request.
